I think one of the main idea of all the great philosophers is acting natural during the play. I know it is very stressful and nervous for me to act out in front of many audiences. In the coming performance, I can use those techniques to help me in lines and acting. First, I can analysis those lines and think about the questions of Uta Hagen. I already know some of the important characteristics of my character, but knowing those give me the base of my acting. Secondly, I can practive the spontaneous repetition before the acting in order to act lively in the performance. I think it will help me a loy during the performance. i hope it will be a good performance!

In Class Writing 10/28
The presentations last week taught me a lot of useful ways to be an better actor in a play. Before these, i thought acting is simply repeating the lines and following the stage directions in the play. I never think about how can to act out the character lively, how to express the emotions from my actions, and how to attract audiences during the show. I remember the theory of Sanford Meisner is to "to live truthfully under the imaginary circumstances". To live during acting make me react my own feeling to the audiences and make my character lively. Also, the presentation of Uta Hagen talked about the preparations before show. She makes several questions for actors about their characters. By answering these questions, actors can know what should they show during their acting to represent their characters better.
